This Phantom Blade Zero trophy guide starts with the good news: every achievement is designed to be obtainable within a single playthrough, and the Platinum can be earned on any of the three main difficulty levels including the easiest. There is no second run required for the list and no difficulty gate on any individual trophy.

Phantom Blade Zero trophy guide checklist

  1. One playthrough

No achievement requires a New Game Plus run or a second save.

  2. Any of the three main difficulties

Wayfarer, Pathbreaker and Hellwalker all qualify, including Wayfarer.

  3. Difficulty can change mid-run

You are not locked to the setting you picked at the start, so you can drop to Wayfarer for a specific boss and step back up.

  4. Skip Sixty-Six Days

That mode carries no trophies at all, so it is not needed and can be treated as optional post-credits content.

  5. All eight endings are not required

The trophy list does not depend on seeing every ending.

The Platinum works on any of three modes

Director and producer Liang Qiwei has confirmed that the Platinum is available on all three main difficulties, and that no achievement is locked behind the harder tiers. That means the decision of which mode to start on is a comfort decision, not a completion decision.

For most players the practical answer is Pathbreaker as the baseline the combat was tuned around, dropping to Wayfarer for anything that stops being fun. All four modes and what each one changes covers the differences.

The individual list is not published yet

The per-trophy conditions are not known in advance, so there is no checklist of specific tasks to work through. What is settled is the shape of the chase: a single playthrough, on any difficulty, with the freedom to change difficulty at any point along the way.

Treat any list of specific trophy conditions you find before launch as speculation, and plan around the five rules above instead, which are the ones that will not change.

Endings and trophies are separate

Getting all eight endings is its own activity, driven by side quests, exploration and key items rather than by the achievement list. You can Platinum the game without seeing every ending, and you can chase endings without touching the list. How the eight endings are decided covers that system on its own terms.
